Summary

"The Space Station" is an entry-level project incorporating geometry built using brush editing, static meshes, Unreal Marketplace props, lighting, emissions, and level design best practices. The assignment criteria were to create a four-room level in an ABCBD progression path, to implement basic player input and jumping, to have an end position that is three character heights taller than the starting position, and a general 30-60 second critical path through the space.




My Contributions

Contributed to all aspects of the project except for 3D assets. All 3D assets were implemented from Fab.com.



What I learned.


I learned to consider my weaknesses in programming and lack of familiarity with UE5 when launching the project. I developed my skillset in Blueprint scripting and complex level design and discovered a keen adoration for finding solutions to programming problems.
